Sakura Blooms

Sakura Blooms (2025)

Sakura Blooms is a cheery piece depicting the beauty of the Japanese cherry blossoms in early spring. This work for beginning symphony orchestra frequently uses the concert F Major pentatonic scale to create the blushing scenery. Suddenly, there is a snow storm that threatens the blooms. This articulated minor section creates a contrast from the original scene, but it soon resolves to create an even more beautiful picture.

Players use beginning notes tailored to their instrument.
